thanks santa!

I had such an amazing Christmas this year! I loved spending the day with my family, and of course I loved opening presents! I'm so grateful for all the gifts I got, and one of my favorite post-Christmas activities is sharing the gifts I received. I also love hearing about what other people got, and you can find me skyping my friends sharing our new treasures. Here are many of the presents I received this year:

Marc by Marc Jacobs Love Dove Coin Purse
from my best friend Kelsey

Steve Madden Caryssa in Blush Patent

Steve Madden Luluu in Black Patent

Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit and Guava

Michael Kors Runway Chronograph Watch in Mop/Gold
a gift I bought for myself :)

A hand painted mask from Italy (and some yummy chocolate)
from my best friend Niki

Marc by Marc Jacobs Jelly Bracelets

Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone Cover

Lilly Pulitzer Colored Pencils

Barbie Stationary (I got a notebook and a weekly planner)

Mac Lipstick in Snob

Go Smile Teeth Whitening System

Burberry Brit Eau de Parfum

Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet

I also got lots of clothes including an over-sized sweater, a black mini dress, and a high-waisted skirt. I also got some adorable nude oxfords that I love, and a nice big scarf. I also got black boots, studded flats, some OPI nail polishes I posted about before, and some other odds and ends. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a wonderful new year!

frosted flour

It's official. Lodi has it's very own cupcake shop. It's called Frosted Flour, and it's the newest addition to my "Cool Things about Lodi" list (the list isn't long..).
As soon as I heard about the shop, I knew I'd have to go in so my mom and I could do a taste test. The shop is cute, and the cupcakes are simple and adorable. They're cheap because they're a little small, but that's perfect for me! I'd rather sample a few than have one large cupcake! They had a pretty good selection from Rocky Road to Margarita, but my mom and I chose three fairly basic flavors.

Pink Lemonade Cupcake
Red Velvet Cupcake
Lodi Lemon Cupcake

The cupcakes were really sweet. My mom thought the Pink Lemonade and the Red Velvet were too sweet, but thought the Lodi Lemon was great. Since I have such a huge sweet tooth, I like the sweetness, but agreed that the Pink Lemonade could have been a little less sweet. I loved the look of the light pink frosting with sanding sugar on top, but I never really like the crunch that sanding sugar gives when you eat it. The red velvet was a great color red, and the cake had good consistency. The frosting was a little too sweet, but still good. The Lodi Lemon was my favorite (I always like lemon the best) and I only had one complaint about it. The cupcake was filled, and although the filling was in a perfect shape when you cut into the cupcake and had a great tang, I just don't like filling in my cakes or cupcakes. That's just a personal preference though. The frosting on the Lodi Lemon and the Pink Lemonade cupcakes was the same, and it was very light and tasty!
I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to go back again before next quarter, but I'll definitely be back during my next visit home!

merry christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families and loved ones! My day was amazing and so was the whole Christmas season. I spent most of the day with my family and had a delicious Honeybaked ham for dinner (my favorite)!
I love hearing about what everyone got and sharing what Santa brought for me!
I figured I'd give a sneak peak on some of my much appreciated gifts by sharing the OPI polishes I got. They were a popular gift for me because all of my loved ones know how much I love OPI.

Here are the three I got from the Burlesque Holiday Collection.
Bring on the Bling
Show it and Glow it
Sparkle-icious

I also got Rumple's Wiggin', My Private Jet, Lincoln Park After Dark Suede, Mod About You, Manicurist of Seville, and Here Today Aragon Tomorrow. I love them all! I had to do my nails with Bring on the Bling for Christmas! It's so sparkly and gorgeous! I can't wait to continue to paint my nails with my new colors. I'm thinking Sparkle-icious for New Years! Keep an eye out for another Christmas present post!

dear santa,

I want an iPad. Please.
Why? Because they're awesome! No, I don't need one. And no, I probably don't even have much of a use for one as of now. But they're SO COOL.
And to top it off, I need an iPad in order to get the adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad Cover.

Marc by Marc Jacobs iPad Cover - $38

Isn't it cute? It comes in a few colors, but they're selling out fast. There are tons of cute iPad sleeves, cases, and covers out there including adorable variations by Louis Vuitton and Burberry.
The iPad is such a hot gift this Christmas. Hopefully Santa is making A LOT.

don't step on my nude suede shoes

I went shopping yesterday with my mom and tried on some nude pumps. The style I liked the best was Steve Madden Caryssa, but I had a hard time deciding between the patent and the suede. It's winter, and Suede is so hot for fall and winter, but the patent would be better year round. Such a struggle. Anyway, I thought I'd share the two styles:

Steve Madden Caryssa in Blush Patent - $89.95
Steve Madden Caryssa in Blush Suede - $89.95

Pretty cute right?

when I say poly you say vore pt. 3

Ah yes. The outfit I'd love to wear to an upcoming holiday party. Maybe I can make the look for less and pull it off. But can it ever compare without the Chanel and YSL? I'll let you know if I intend to take on the challenge!

when I say poly you say vore pt. 2

I tried to make this one after an outfit I'd like to put together from my own closet. I have a sparkly vest like the Free People one shown, and I wanted to put an outfit together that I could wear it with. Now if only I had those AMAZING Louboutin booties and that classic Hermes bracelet to complete my version of the outfit... Come on Santa! I've been a good girl!
Oh! Also notice the OPI polish, Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous, that I snuck in there :)

when I say poly you say vore

Hi again! As I've mentioned, I've been filling my boring days with online browsing, Christmas shopping, and Polyvores. So here are a few I've made in the past few days.
My friend has these shoes, and I got to try them on and fall in love. My mom thinks their hideous, but at least we can both agree on the watch. That's right! It's my brand new beautiful baby. I just had to throw it in there even though if I were to wear this outfit, I'd do some more layering on my wrist in addition to the watch. I guess I just got lazy. Lazy on my lazy day - top that.
